The best of the best.
By Clare Stanfield
Every year, the Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers (CAAR) recognizes one if its own with the Agri-Retailer Hall of Fame Award.
It’s the association’s most prestigious award in part because it is based on long-term and consistent performance in the industry. In other words, this award tends to recognize people who have spent a lifetime working at a high level in the very competitive, ever-changing world of agricultural retail. .
Nominees must measure up in five categories:
- Customer service and satisfaction
- Effective employee relations
- Business innovation, efficiency and safety
- Environmental stewardship
- Community and industry leadership.
Perhaps what makes this award so significant is that the winners are chosen by their peers. It always means a lot to win an award of any kind, but it means so much more when you are chosen by people who truly understand what it takes to succeed--because they do it, too.
